This paper assesses the development and security impact of demobilization in Sub-Saharan Africa, focusing particularly on Eritrea, Ethiopia, Mozambique, and Uganda. It aims to demonstrate the extent to which demobilization has improved living conditions in these countries. The analysis draws on several economic approaches and considers both the financial and the human resources involved.
