This issue analyzes key bilateral relationships in East Asia, including those involving the US, between January and April 2013. The articles focus on economic, political and security developments and are accompanied by a chronology of significant events occurring between the states in question during the four-month period. By providing interpretative analyses, as well as factual accounts of key events, this issue illuminates patterns in Asian bilateral relations and defines the impact bilateral relationships have upon one another and on regional security.
