In this testimony the speaker discusses the situation in Syria and how it affects US national interests. First, he analyzes why the US waited so long to provide military help to the rebels. Second, he provides arguments against a no-fly zone. Instead, he argues for a one-time strike on Assad's air assets and air bases. He further suggests that the US is in a situation in which its inaction in Syria undermines American credibility.
