This transcript offers two different views on the use of nuclear weapons. One view supports nuclear deterrence arguing that the major problem the world faces regarding nuclear weapons does not lie with the great powers but rather with the unstable global situation. The other view questions the validity of nuclear deterrence theory arguing that positive examples of nuclear deterrence are selectively pulled out of historical context without real proof of success.
