This paper illustrates the importance of cooperation between government institutions and civil society organizations (CSOs) in implementing National Action Plans (NAPs) and UNSCR 1325 which addresses the consequences of conflict on women and their role in peacebuilding. In light of this, the author analyzes the different roles that CSOs can have in NAP 1325 monitoring and evaluation. He specifically looks at the challenges facing cooperation between Serbian government institutions and CSOs in the country and proposes solutions for increased cooperation.
