This brief argues against climate change denial and that urgent short term action is needed to combat global warming. The author contends that a World Meteorological Organisation (WMO) report highlighting long term temperature rises, an increase in disruptive weather phenomenon over the previous decade, and the cyclical nature of the El Niño/La Niňa effect, may help tip the balance in favor of responding in time to the risks of climate disruption.
