This report analyzes Egypt’s crisis of governance, governability and governmentality. It looks at the ousting of Muhammad Mursi and the Muslim Brotherhood and the post-2011 revolutionary process that has emerged characterized by an unorganised mass movement seeking new forms of governance and governmentality. The author argues that non-democratic forces, including the military, Mubarak supporters, and the Muslim Brotherhood are undermining this movement in order to maintain non-democratic arrangements and forms of governance.
