This issue features eight articles that focus on the foreign policy response of Turkey, Iran and Israel to the political upheavals in Syria and the militia landscape of the Middle East. It first examines the political situation of Syria as well as the response and support to the Assad regime by the neighboring countries. It then looks at the position of non-state militias, such as the Hezbollah and Shi`a Militias, in Syria and the Middle East.
