This article discusses the concept of Extended Producer Responsibility (EPR) in recycling and waste management policies. Specifically, it looks at Asian economies who have already introduced or are considering EPR-based legislation that targets electronic and packaging waste associated with environmental risks. In concluding, the authors argue that EPR can promote the used product take-back system, promote resource efficiency, and contribute to sustainable consumption and production.
