This paper provides a short overview of the main sanctions against Syria and their impact on diplomatic relations. It summarizes the main sanctions, including the arms embargo and trade restrictions and the impact these have on the Syrian economy and individuals. It also discusses the possibility of stronger and other types of sanctions.
