This paper looks at the Congressional response to the proposed US intervention in Syria. It examines the process of how the US government briefs and tries to persuade Congress highlighting the legal justification for military intervention given in US government statements and the draft resolution. The paper concludes with a discussion on the prospects for approval of the draft resolution.
