This paper presents the results of a public survey on the dispute over Gibraltar between the United Kingdom and Spain and the underlying issues of sovereignty and the importance of bilateral relations. The results suggest that views of the Spaniards on Gibraltar depend more on feelings of national pride and identity than on ideological preferences.
