Since 2008, when a rapid increase in food prices contributed to civil unrest in more than forty countries, scholars and policymakers have paid increased attention to the food-stability nexus. This report is part of that trend. It explores the complex linkages between conflict and food security and provides recommendations on how to make foof-related USAID programming more effective.
