This paper talks about the US-Russian plan to eliminate chemical weapons in Syria and theorizes that there could be something more to US participation in the deal. The author suggests that the reason why the US might have allowed itself to agree to the plan is that it will enable the US to acquire the location of Syria’s chemical weapons in order to conduct a more effective strike against them. He goes on to say that, if this is not the case, the only other alternative is for the US to go ahead with the disarmament process, the likes of which has never been attempted before.
