The authors explore opportunities for, and obstacles to, engagement with the Sudan People’s Liberation Movement-North and the Government of Sudan for humanitarian access. They also highlight lessons learned from the process of humanitarian engagement so far and alternatives for negotiating humanitarian access in the conflict region.
