In this interview, Daniel Levine argues that international relations (IR) studies need to be more vocationally oriented and less omniscient in its theory building and analyses. The latter Weberian 'view of (sic) nowhere' just doesn't cut it – IR studies need to bridge the gap between concepts and things if they hope to pass future 'so what?' tests.
