This issue of the SUR Journal features articles on the increasingly securitized relationship between migration and human rights. Some of the topics covered include 1) recent trends in migration flows; 2) the effects of government policies on migrants, with a particular focus on the policies of the EU, the US and Brazil; and 3) contemporary debates on migration and human rights in the EU, the US and Argentina. The issue also includes an interview with Michael Kirby on his role as chairman of the UN Committee of Inquiry on human rights in North Korea.
