This report looks at the potential of Development Impact Bonds (DIBs). It first explains the concept of Development Impact Bonds (DIBs), the development challenges that this approach addresses, its value over alternative development funding mechanisms, and what is needed to create a viable DIB market. It then explores six DIB case studies to illustrate the breadth of social issues to which the approach can be applied. Finally, it provides more detail on the technical aspect of this approach for audiences interested in implementing DIBs.
