This paper argues that Croatia could become a valuable partner for the Visegrad Group (V4), which includes Poland, Hungary, the Czech Republic and Slovakia. The author suggests that the proximity of Croatia to the V4, as well as areas of overlapping interest, suggest there is opportunity for stronger links between it and the group. However, he also says that Croatia's determination to pursue closer cooperation may be reduced by the fact that some of the V4's interests do not match those of the country's other close partners in Europe.
