This report examines logistical aspects of the withdrawal of the NATO International Security Assistance Force (ISAF) from Afghanistan as well as the political implications it involves. The author analyzes the most pressing challenges for ISAF and takes a look at the answers NATO has thus far given to address them. She finishes by saying that redeployment is a sign that NATO forces trust Afghans to deal with the situation in their country and that it is therefore a mark of success.
