This commentary discusses the impact of Prime Minister Ivanishvili’s announcement to quit politics before the upcoming presidential elections in Georgia. The author believes the Prime Minister’s private plans will destabilize the country and may have dramatic consequences for both the domestic and foreign policies of Georgia.
