This paper examines Hezbollah’s involvement in the Syrian conflict and the impact this is having on Lebanon. The author argues that Hezbollah is involved in the conflict primarily out of necessity as the current Syrian regime is one of Hezbollah’s strongest allies and it's demise would have a negative impact on the organization. He claims that the conflict in Syria is causing the already highly-polarized society in Lebanon to become even more divided along sectarian lines.
