This paper examines the notion of 'intercultural dialogue' as defined in the Framework Convention for the Protection of National Minorities and the efforts put forth to promote it through the media. It also uses government reports to an advisory committee on intercultural dialogue to illustrate how certain states interpret their obligation to enhance said dialogue. The paper concludes by pointing out the complexity of trying to understand the impact of measures aimed at facilitating intercultural dialogue through the media.
