This paper examines the impact of John F Kennedy's decision-making strategy on conflicts situations, leading to the creation of the JFK 'black swan logic'. The authors argue that this black swan logic was engrained in JFK's approach to any military situation and helped him avoid many conflicts that may have escalated drastically had he moved forward without accurately evaluating the enemy. They continue by providing historical fiction of what could have happened had JFK listened to his advisers who pushed for war and explain how and why he decided to ignore them.
