This report examines the EU-Brazil partnership in areas of strategic importance. These include global macroeconomics, trade policy, climate change, foreign and security policy norms, and continental regionalism. The authors examine both party’s endeavors in these areas identifying consonance and dissonance between their efforts. They conclude by noting that further cooperation in global affairs could help bridge the gap between the North and South, as well as the “West and the rest”.
