This book features a collection of essays which examine the relationship between migration and social security in cross-border situations in the EU. In particular, the essays looks at whether migration constitutes a disproportionate burden to member states’ domestic labor markets and welfare systems; whether non-citizens should be entitled to social benefit in the state where they live; and if there is objective evidence which can show that welfare systems are being abused.
