This brief addresses a possible transitional justice strategy for Syria to hold perpetrators to account after the conflict. The author discusses three distinct groups of international criminal tribunals and explores different avenues that could offer a prompt and adequate accountability for prosecutions of the atrocities committed. She concludes by looking at the key challenges facing a potential tribunal for Syria.
