Publication
2013
This publication examines the current level of 'peacefulness' in Mexico by comparing it to the socioeconomic factors normally associated with nonviolent societies. Among other things, the text also estimates the mid-term impact of domestic violence on the country's economy; it explores the links between legal impunity and the rise of criminality; it considers the relationship between public security and competitiveness; and it contemplates the relationship between the availability of weapons and crime.
