This paper discusses the impact of the EU's Eastern Neighbourhood on the policy responsibilities of the Nordic countries. The author states that the Nordic countries must more actively lead EU relations with the eastern neighbors and manage the development and integration of the Eastern Neigbhourhood. The paper stresses the growing importance of the Eastern Neighbourhood for the European Union and emphasizes the value of close cooperation between Russia and the Nordic countries.
