This brief discusses how Iran and the West can maintain the diplomatic momentum they created with last November's interim nuclear accord. The preferred option, at least according to the text, is to place future negotiations within broader domestic and regional contexts, and thereby encourage Tehran to play a wider and more constructive role in the Middle East. This approach would also help manage expectations of domestic reform within Iran more effectively, and thus avoid frustration, instability and potential regime backlash.
