This paper discusses the potential inclusion of the security considerations in the "post-2015 development agenda" and what Germany could take into consideration to contribute toward this end. In particular, the author lays out the reasons why security should be included in the development agenda; the concerns of new parties to the negotiations, including Brazil, India and China; and how countries such as Germany should frame the debate on the inclusion of security into the agenda so that it is acceptable to different countries.
