This paper looks at the possible impact the ISAF troop withdrawal from Afghanistan in 2014 will have on the security and economic situation in Pakistan. The author argues that the negative effects could include an increase in militant group intensity, the possibility of a civil war spilling over into Pakistan, and potential benefit to Pakistan's indigenous crime networks due to increased insecurity. She also suggests that Pakistan may also be burdened with an influx of refugees.
