This paper describes how Finland has adapted itself to the EU's common foreign, security and defense policies since joining the Union in 1995. Unsurprisingly, the adaptations have played a significant role in reshaping the way Finns now perceive nonalignment, the use of military forces abroad, and how foreign policy decision-makers should wield power at the national level.
