This paper outlines the background and terms of the nuclear proliferation deal reached between Iran and the P5+1, as well as reactions to the deal. The authors say that the majority of reactions from various states and commentators have been favorable and signal an important geopolitical shift that stands to benefit Iran and lessen the importance of the West's traditional allies in the Middle East. They also talk about potential next steps following the Joint Plan of Action.
