This paper explores whether the Indian Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) will be able to replicate the success it noted in the 2013 state elections success in the 2014 general elections in Delhi. The author first outlines how the party’s strong element of activism and populism led to the AAP’s initial success and then discusses how the party’s inexperience and style of governance could hinder its success in the general elections.
