This paper looks at possible options for taking the eurozone out of financial crisis and how these are perceived by Germany. The options include a closer convergence between the economies of the eurozone, political union and economic integration, as well as the idea of a partial break-up of the eurozone. The author says that Germany would prefer to continue with the first of these options, but that 2013 demonstrated that this course of action would have some clear limitations. He also looks at the implications future German policy regarding the eurozone would have for Poland.
