This brief examines Israel's plan to export natural gas following the discovery of large deposits off the country's coast. It looks at the obstacles that such a plan might face in the as well as the need for Israel to cooperate pragmatically with countries such as Greece and Cyprus to faciliate exports. The author also explains the benefits which greater energy cooperation in the Levant region may bring to the EU.
