This is a transcript of an interview with Siddharth Mallavarapu from South Asian University on international relations theory, including what he thinks are the biggest challenges facing it are. He argues that one of these challenges is how to widen international relations so that it does not just focus on major powers. He also talks about how he became involved in studying IR, what a student needs to become a specialist in IR, whether he perceives language differences to be a barrier to understanding, as well as other issues.
