This paper explores the conflicting debates that surrounded Sweden's most recent (and annual) security and defense conference. The 2014 version of the event did indeed reveal splits within the country's elites, particularly over the threats Sweden faces and how it should cope with them. Despite these disputes, however, it appears that the country's current security policy will remain in place over the next four years.
