This paper discusses the implications which Mexico’s 2013 energy reform project will have for the global shale gas industry and oil sector. After a brief overview of the project and the political motivations behind it, the author discusses how the project could provide new opportunities for Mexico’s economic development, North America’s energy security, and Polish businesses.
