This bulletin argues that Ukraine’s economic fundamentals are poor and that the country has witnessed only a mild recovery since the beginning of the global economic crisis. The author says that the root causes of this economic situation arise from the inefficient, unclear, corruption-prone and state-linked monopoly-friendly environment in the country. She goes on to talk about how Poland and the European Union could help facilitate and encourage Ukraine's economic recovery in the long-run.
