This paper discusses the impact of the political protests in Ukraine in 2014 on Crimea’s ties with Ukraine and Russia. The author, in particular, highlights how political developments in Ukraine have increased separatist activities in Crimea and impacted on the likelihood of the peninsula seceding from Ukraine.
