This analysis examines the use of the UN Security Council Resolution 1325 by Sudanese women activists. The author argues that although Resolution 1325 has not figured prominently in the activism of Sudanese women and will likely continue to be blocked by the government, it has brought about new international awareness of violence and gender in peacebuilding and increased donor money to women groups and NGOs working on related issues.
