This paper talks about US Navy plans for its aircraft carrier air wings into the 2020s and beyond. It first outlines the Navy’s current plans for improving air wing composition and capability and then looks at four options the Navy could take in its efforts to adapt its capabilities in response to emerging threats, shrinking resources and enduring global responsibilities.
