This paper looks at President Francois Hollande’s attempts to end the downturn in the French economy. The author suggests that Hollande’s approach is two-fold: first he plans to propose a German-style economic policy to reduce barriers to production and investment and second, tighten Franco-German relations. He also talks about how Hollande's reforms are not favored by all in the country and that they have also revived dividing lines within his own party. The author then talks about how Polish entrepreneurs may stand to gain from France’s new economic policies.
