This paper talks about why Ukraine is engulfed in a political crisis in 2014 and why this is of concern to Russia. It also looks at how the crisis has affected the status of Crimea, whether Russia's actions on the peninsula violate international law, and what the US and European policy options are regarding Ukraine.
