This paper looks at Greece’s very active engagement in the European Defense Agency (EDA) and the leverage it had on shaping EU defense institutions. More specifically, it explores how Greece managed - through chairing the European Armaments Policy Council Working Group (POLARM), and the EU Presidency - to set the pace on the EU armaments policy, and in doing so to protect its own national interest.
