This paper examines the European Union’s Eastern Partnership (EaP), a policy initiative set up in 2009 to forge closer ties with six countries in Eastern Europe and the South Caucasus. More specifically, it looks Russia's response to the EaP and at the successes the EaP has had; what factors have undermined the Partnership; and what its future may hold.
