Publication

The three papers that comprise this report examine the socio-political transformations currently underway in Cuba. The first one summarizes the reforms being pursued under President Raul Castro, with a particular emphasis on the links between economic reform and political transformation. The second article zeros in on what it sees as the deterioration in health, education and social services within the country, which it attributes to the effects of the reform process. The last paper focuses on the dialogue that's occurring both in Cuba and the US over the Cuban government’s change in political direction.
