In the run-up to the 2014 Nuclear Security Summit (NSS) in The Hague, this discussion report reviews and critiques elements of the global stewardship of nuclear materials' security and considers India's role in these efforts. Individual contributions discuss: 1) India's results on the 2014 NTI Nuclear Materials Security Index; 2) the need to increase awareness regarding nuclear materials' security; 3) United States' and India's interests in promoting nuclear security globally; and 4) the position India should adopt at the NSS.
